The Firm advises national and international organizations on employment related issues, both in litigation, consultancy and advisory transactions. We help companies, from startups to well established businesses in ensuring that they are compliant with labor and welfare laws of Tanzania. We assist in obtaining necessary work and residence permits under the labor and immigration laws to ensure compliance. Our lawyers liaise and work closely with the relevant ministry and/or local government departments to provide these services in an efficient manner.

We undertake due diligences for several companies to ensure proper documentation of all employment related matters, such as offer and appointment letters, employment agreements, non -disclosure and confidentiality agreements, intellectual property assignment, non-compete agreements, non- poach agreements and termination agreements.

We have also advised on issues relating to and structuring compensation keeping in view of the employment laws and our client’s best interest foremost. We have prepared company or workplace policies in compliance with the relevant applicable laws and we regularly advice on issues relating to social securities and the related documentation.

Our Firm hand les suits arising from employment contracts and as such we issue and respond to legal notices arising out of misconduct, breach of agreements, and negotiate in case of contentious termination to carry on the spirit of alternative dispute resolution before advising our clients on institution of legal proceedings before the appropriate fora.
